Terms of Service — camperdeals.ie

1. Who we are
These terms govern your use of camperdeals.ie, operated by James Lewis ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms.
2. What we are — and what we're not
camperdeals.ie is a curated media and discovery site. We identify, screen, and feature campervans and motorhomes for sale in Ireland against a published standard (see How We Score and Listing Standards).
We are not:
- A party to any sale between a buyer and a seller/dealer
- A dealer, broker, or agent for any vehicle listed
- A guarantor of any vehicle's condition, legal status, or fitness for purpose beyond what we've disclosed as verified
Any transaction you enter into with a seller or dealer is strictly between you and them. We strongly encourage an independent inspection (see our Inspection Checklist) before any purchase.
3. Our editorial standard, and its limits
We apply the scoring and screening process described in How We Score in good faith, using the information sellers provide to us and reasonable checks we're able to make. We do not physically inspect every vehicle, and we cannot independently verify every claim a seller makes. A featured listing, or a "Camper Deal" / "Good Buy" / "Editorial Pick" label, is our editorial assessment at a point in time — it is not a warranty, valuation, or roadworthiness certificate.
4. Editorial independence
No payment — for a listing, a distribution boost, or a dealer subscription — buys a label, a score, or inclusion in our feed. Where we have a commercial relationship with a seller or dealer, it does not affect how that vehicle is scored.
5. Submitting a vehicle
If you submit a vehicle via our submission form, you confirm that:
- You have the legal right to sell the vehicle, or the authority to submit it on the seller's behalf
- The information and photos you provide are accurate and not misleading
- You grant us permission to review, and — only if and once we approve and publish the listing — display your submitted photos, description, and relevant contact details on camperdeals.ie and our associated email/social channels, in line with our Privacy Policy
- You can withdraw a submission or request removal of a published listing at any time by contacting us
Submitting a vehicle does not guarantee it will be featured. We may decline any submission at our sole discretion, in line with our published standards.
6. Buyer alerts and the newsletter
Signing up for email alerts or the newsletter is opt-in and free. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
7. Paid features (from Phase 3)
Once introduced, paid options (private listing fees, distribution boosts, dealer subscriptions, buyer membership) are add-ons layered on top of our existing editorial review — they never replace it, and never guarantee acceptance or a particular score. Pricing, refund, and cancellation terms for paid features will be published separately when they launch.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, systematically extract, or republish our published listing data without permission
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading vehicle information
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
9. Intellectual property
The camperdeals.ie name, logo, and site design are our property. Vehicle photos and descriptions remain the property of the submitting seller/dealer, used under the permission described in Section 5.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, we are not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between you and a seller or dealer, from reliance on a listing's score or label, or from any inaccuracy in seller-provided information that we could not reasonably have detected. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law (e.g. for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence).
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
