Why we like it: The price is the appeal: hot and cold water, a hot shower, a toilet, a hob and a heater for €13,500, plus its own overnight power so the vehicle battery is left alone. A low-cost way into camping, as long as the paperwork stacks up.

Check: Provisional for now: the ad doesn't say whether it's on the logbook as a motor caravan, or give the engine, gearbox, CVRT/CRW or tax status — ask for all of these before you travel. Find out who did the conversion, and ask about the gas, water and electrical installation, especially the hob, heater and separate power system.
