Why we like it: A properly equipped off-grid Transit: hot shower, diesel heater, 400 W of solar and a 1,000 W inverter, with the camper already on the logbook and CVRT running to 2028. The fit-out is brand new, so nothing on board has been worn in — and the wet belt, tyres and paint have all just been done.

Check: €56,000 is a big ask for a van with 153,000 km, so find out who built the conversion, what it cost and whether there are receipts. There's a lot of gas, diesel and 230 V kit on board — ask for the installation details and any certification. Ask for the service history behind the new wet belt, and confirm the motor caravan entry on the logbook rather than taking it on trust. Because it hasn't been used yet, get the water system, heater, shower drain, inverter and air con all shown working, and ask about weight and payload with a full fit-out.

Why we like it: The price is the appeal: hot and cold water, a hot shower, a toilet, a hob and a heater for €13,500, plus its own overnight power so the vehicle battery is left alone. A low-cost way into camping, as long as the paperwork stacks up.

Check: Provisional for now: the ad doesn't say whether it's on the logbook as a motor caravan, or give the engine, gearbox, CVRT/CRW or tax status — ask for all of these before you travel. Find out who did the conversion, and ask about the gas, water and electrical installation, especially the hob, heater and separate power system. It's a 2007 with 113,000 miles (about 181,900 km), so check for rust, roof and window seals and any signs of damp, and ask for service history.
